Hall of Fame
The people who made the PDI what it is.

The Hazards
Most bands get a setlist. The Hazards get a WhatsApp message the night before asking if they know a specific song from 1987 and still, they always deliver. From the opening chords of Chase the Sun to the final walk-on of the night, The Hazards give the PDI its heartbeat.

Vinny
Inducted 2023When Vinny arrived at the PDI, something shifted. The walk-ons got bigger, the mic got louder, and behind the scenes, we had a new force making sure the whole thing held together. From his legendary Apollo Creed entrance to Living in America through to his work organising the event year after year, Vinny has been one of the driving forces behind what the PDI has become.

The Rebel
Inducted 2022The People's Republic has always had a strong PDI representative in The Rebel — a fan's favourite whose annual Song for Europe walk-on became an institution in its own right. 2025 was the year it all came together, Pat the Bet Memorial Trophy in hand. Off the oche, he and his wife gave the PDI something just as lasting — seven years of booklet production from 2013 to 2020 that required serious dedication and left us with a record of this tournament to treasure. The walk-on got the trophy. The booklets got us the memories.

Sexy Boy
Inducted 2019The Yank. Walked in to Sexy Boy, claimed the Pat the Bet Memorial Trophy more than once, and has Papa Silvio saved under favourites. A walk-on legend, a logistics hero, and the reason nobody hits the afternoon wall on empty. The PDI is a long day — he makes sure you rise to the occasion in the best possible way.

The Gun
Inducted 2018A bag of spuds. Sold. That tells you most of what you need to know about The Gun's contribution to the PDI auction over the years — a masterclass in extracting money from people who know full well they're being had and hand it over anyway. But the legend runs deeper than the auction. He was there at the genesis, helped secure 33 the Court as the first venue, and made sure nobody went thirsty in the early days. Today he flies the flag in London, drawing a wide and multinational group of participants to the PDI each year. When you've got an inflatable hammer, every PDI challenge looks like a nail. The PDI has been very lucky that he kept swinging.

The Trick & The Treat
Inducted 2017Before St Jude's, before the Kill Arena, before the smoke machines and the walk-ons and everything the PDI became — there was a home that opened its doors and made it all possible. The Trick and The Treat gave the PDI its first venue, nurtured it through its growth years with unwavering support and encouragement, and in doing so gave this community something that has lasted more than two decades. They can sit back now and watch what grew from those beginnings. That is a legacy worth having. PDI royalty, without question.

The Physio
Inducted 2016At some point in 2012, The Physio bumped into his neighbour Marty Morrissey and asked him a daft question. Marty said yes. That should tell you everything. A two-time winner, a former president, he's even beamed in from New Zealand when geography got in the way. Banbridge's favourite son has never once let distance, circumstance, or a total eclipse of the heart stand between him and his commitment to the PDI.

The Boy
Inducted 2015An Buachaill. Der Junge. Le garcon. The PDI's very own carpenter extraordinaire. The Boy brings so much to the PDI — darting excellence, a penchant for the pen when it comes to the booklet, craftsmanship not seen in any other darts organisation globally (unbelievable dartboard backdrops) and an incredible capacity to power through the stout.
Once dubbed 'Always the bridesmaid never the bride', by the A-Lister, due to his near misses at lifting the PDI title before 2012, The Boy really stood up to the plate in 2012 and then again in 2013. The Boy simply put on a darting masterclass in both years; without doubt the most prolific 12 months of darts in his distinguished darting career. The Boy was near on unplayable, consistently racking up scores of 100+ and hitting doubles easier than Kev Mc sticks the ball in the Kerry net!
There is no doubting The Boy wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to the PDI, one could really see what winning the PDI meant to him.
The Boy is an omnipresent at the night before 'set-up', executing his craftsmanship. He can regularly be spotted using a spirit level to hang even the smallest of items, ever the perfectionist, to the benefit of all taking part on the day.
The Boy is welcomed into the Hall of Fame by all at the PDI for not only what he has done at the board but also off the board. A true champion of the PDI. An Buachaill, we salute you!

The Cat
Inducted 2014The deliberations over the potential nominees for the 2014 Hall of Fame were short lived as all members of the nomination committee could think of one name, and one name only — The Cat.
The Cat has been an ever-present at the PDI since the halcyon Celtic Tiger years past. He took his sole victory back in 2006 in the blustery conditions at 33 The Court. He was back in the final in 2011 but just fell short of the mark to The Educator. However, you can rest assured you will never get a big price on The Cat from PawnBet as all are aware of his capability on the day. The Cat brings passion and a fierce sense of competition to the oche — a natural competitor, he has the ability to knock any contender out on the big day.
The Cat has twice been host of the tournament in the Kill Arena, and has served as honourary President of the PDI for the last number of years. His contributions to the PDI are endless, and his desire to make the tournament a more enjoyable and all-round better event are unrivalled — The Cat is a true enthusiast of the PDI.
Whether it's smoke machines, outrageous lighting or simply the walk ons, he has left audiences shocked and delighted.
The Cat has always provided an immeasurable impetus to each and every PDI he has been involved in.
The PDI 2013 marked a landmark year for The Cat. With one eye on winning and organising the tournament, The Cat also had a firm lens on his walk on. While some of the inner circle were aware of how things were to run on the day, a number of spectators in the crowd were in for a surprise; a very BIG surprise for one lady in particular. The Cat, never shy or intimidated by an audience, prepared for the Group 2 walk on with an uncanny aura of calmness oozing from his demeanour.
He knew he was about to undertake a life-changing moment but had planned his approach meticulously and was prepared for action. The Cat emerged to his favoured 'Thunderstruck' but without the customary hooligan-esque dancing that has accompanied his entres in the past.
The Cat calmly took the hand of his 'woman' and took to one knee. Aside from doing the unthinkable and bringing a priest to the oche for his walk on and getting married at the PDI 2014, The Cat has surely provided the most startling of walk ons — he has left the rest of the PDI competitors with big boots to fill.
As the 2014 PDI Hall of Fame Inductee, The Cat joins the greats and takes his richly deserved place in PDI history.

The Express
Inducted 2013Most PDI players take the winter off. The Express does not. A rigorous training schedule, cutting-edge preparation methods, and a dedication to the craft that frankly puts everyone else to shame. The results speak for themselves — multiple wins and a legacy that even survived ea multi-year exile in Vancouver. He came back. Of course he came back. It's like he was never away.

The Educator
Inducted 2012The Educator arrived at the Lakeside Arena and immediately made himself at home — back-to-back wins at the PDI's new venue announced him as a man who rises to occasions. But his contribution off the oche was just as significant. During a key development phase, while the rest of us were still finding our way in the world, he steered the ship with a steadiness that the PDI needed and never forgot. Tournaments need people who can win. They also need people who can lead. The Educator did both.

The Bat
Inducted 2011Every year that signal went up in the skies above the Lakeside Arena, and every year he answered. To the Batmobile — the refrain that meant the room was about to get a little louder, a little wilder, and a whole lot more fun. The Bat was there at the heart of it all: walk-on pioneer, depth-charge enthusiast, fundraising force, a man who would never countenance a house drink; a whirlwind in the truest sense. The Walk-On trophy exists in his name because the PDI would not be what it is without him. Sadly departed. Never forgotten.
